Summer
Classes:
"An Introduction
In Cost
Effective Modeling and Design of the Modern CCTV sysytems"
|
CSOs,
Security Officers, Engeneers and
CCTV Dealers!
Is
Your Current CCTV System Up to the Task?
Do
you know if your current CCTV
camera system is providing the necessary coverage or sufficient image
quality in
critical locations? Has the system been
designed efficiently with a good balance between cost and
effectiveness? Maybe it is just woefully out of date or in
need of an upgrade due to changing conditions, technology or
requirements. Many systems in existence
today have blind
spots or have cameras or lenses in places where they cannot do the job
they
need to do. This includes day/night
situations, glare, inability to recognize detail in critical areas or
physical
obstructions to the intended viewing area.
Can
You Design or Evaluate a Proposed or Existing CCTV Installation?
CCTV
camera placement and selection
is critical to developing a secure controlled environment.
Standard methods employed today rely mainly
on past experience and trial and error placement sometimes initially
sketched
out on paper or using a ground up view to determine potential camera
locations.
Are you capable of evaluating a CCTV system? Could
you distinguish between the cost benefits and
effectiveness of
various proposed systems? If you were
tasked to design and ‘spec out’ a CCTV system for your location, could
you
develop a good workable plan?
Your
Skill Set is Critical to Your Responsibilities
Every
security officer responsible
for an area under CCTV surveillance should have the skills to design
and
evaluate a CCTV deployment plan. As
the old VCR recorders have disappeared into the dust bin of history so
should
the old methods for CCTV systems design and implementation.
WIATECH
is currently enrolling students in the summer ’08 session for CCTV
security evaluation,
planning and design. A series of three
in-depth hands-on classes introduces, then builds the necessary skills
to
completely evaluate and design a complete CCTV system using Visual CAD
software
specifically created for CCTV applications. Students
will learn how to model the all physical aspects
of the
environment where a prospective CCTV system might be deployed and
perform 3-D
rendering of images as they would appear to each camera’s location and
characteristics
and the aspects of the physical environment.
Learn
the Techniques of CCTV Site-plan Evaluation and Design
Each
level of instruction culminates
with an evaluation test project where students will model real-life
situations
and design CCTV systems to meet requirements in an effective and
efficient
manner. Students who successfully
demonstrate their skills will receive a certificate of competency
following
each level of achievement.
Students
who successfully complete our classes will obtain certification in the
following skill sets:
Perform
complete analysis and spec out a
CCTV system
- Determine
if an existing CCTV system is
adequate and
cost effective
- Obtain
an expertise in modeling and
operation of a
state-of-the-art Visual CAD system
- Evaluate
proposed CCTV solutions
- Understand
how to effectively interlace and
compliment
different camera and lens options
- Understand
night and day illumination and
limitations
as they pertain to CCTV parameters
- Achieve
a level of expertise in using Visual
CAD
software to build an efficient CCTV system
Classes
are
designed for all levels of competency and familiarity with Visual CAD
applications and CCTV system design. Introductory
classes may be waved for some applicants who
possess a
higher level of computer or CAD skills. Those
who wish to purchase CCTV Visual CAD packages may do so
directly from WIATECH. Training is
recommended though not a requirement for purchase.
